Media
My sustainability initiatives have gained attention in local and national media, highlighting the impact of youth-led environmental activism.
Lobbying in Tallahassee
I spoke before Florida officials in the Tallahassee capital to protest against bill SB 7016, a Florida bill that adds strict bureaucratic rules and financial penalties for grassroots movements and makes it harder for citizens to propose constitutional amendments to bills or laws they consider unjust.
This bill was viewed by many Floridians to be a direct attack on constitutional rights, threatening the citizen‑led ballot initiatives that helped achieve a $15/hour minimum wage. As the head lobby lead, I stood with over 400 youth advocates and partnered with the CLEO Institute and other climate groups, leading the discussion to urge lawmakers to strengthen protections for Florida’s ecosystems and state parks, including doing away with this bill!
Lobbying for Change at Miami-Dade School Board
I spoke at a Miami‑Dade School Board meeting to propose the implementation of environmental values and hands-on learning into every local school through beach cleanups, wetland field trips, and student‑led restoration projects.
Afterward, the Board connected me with the District’s Sustainability Coordinator, Ms. Pulido. We’ve met several times to refine these ideas. Ms. Pulido nominated me to serve as Miami‑Dade’s Sustainability Intern this year to launch free uniform stores in some schools, which will reduce textile waste, ease family expenses, and bring our environmental values to life.
Inspiring Teens Magazine Feature
I was honored to be featured in Inspiring Teens Magazine for my work in sustainability and youth activism. The article shared my journey with Teens Against Fast Fashion, the Period Pantry, and my other community initiatives. For me, it wasn’t just recognition — it was a chance to inspire other teens to see that their voices and ideas can create real change.

Coconut Grove Crisis Food Pantry Newsletter
I was featured in the Coconut Grove Food Pantry newsletter highlighting my work with the Miami Period Pantry. What started as a class project has become a way to give my community access to free and sustainable menstrual products while fighting the stigma around period poverty.
